Founder and Principal (2004 – 2022)

As the Founder and Principal of Jordan Kutev Architect Inc., Jordan leaves behind a legacy spanning over 35 years of contributions to the architectural community, nearly 20 of those with JKA.

Jordan was a seasoned architect dedicated to design, construction, and sustainability. He took a collaborative approach to architecture and was known for his ability to understand and address different agendas, while delivering projects that maintained a high standard of design excellence. Jordan worked for an incredible array of clients ranging from a variety of mid-size private developers to large real estate development corporations. Jordan had the privilege of working for some of Canada’s most respected Federal organizations including Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), as well as numerous Provincial organizations including BC Tourism, BCBC, ARES and WSI. He also helped lead projects for various educational institutions including Kwantlen Polytechnic University, University of British Columbia (UBC), and Simon Fraser University (SFU).

Prior to founding JKA, Jordan was a Senior Associate Partner at Bunting Coady Architects. He was Project Director in Charge of several large scale projects including CTTC Kwantlen Polytechnic University/Cloverdale CampusDouglas Border crossing/Piece ArchVisitors information Centre /Piece Arch, and Broadway Tech centre.

Jordan was very passionate about architecture and had been an integral part of a wide variety of project types including Residential, Hospitality, Commercial, Mixed Use, Housing, Institutional, Industrial, and Retail. His diverse portfolio and hands-on experience in project development gave Jordan an in-depth understanding of the interrelationships between the design, construction and real estate industries, making him a highly regarded senior member in his field.
